Joe's Bio

 

      Joe is a Graduate of Furman University with a Degree in Music Theory and Composition. Worked as Treasurer for the American Federation Of Musicians Local 964 from 1988 till 1990. Served as Creative Arts/Music Director of Brookwood Church from 1993 till 2004. 
      He has played in the Orchestras of Bob Hope, George Burns, The Fifth Dimension, Debbie Reynolds, Jim Nabors, Mickey Rooney, Ann Miller, Johnny Nash, Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus and the Broadway traveling productions of A Chorus Line and Sugar Babies (starring Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller). Joe has also played hundreds of Wedding Receptions and Corporate Parties. 
      Joe has written TV commercial compositions for Verizon Wireless, Home Depot,  Craftsman Tools, Chris Christie, Ridgid Tools and Ryobi Tools. Joe won an the Addy's Best In Show Award for his Music Score on the Frezee Center's TV spot  "Conductor" along with several Gold and Silver Addy Awards. Joe is also a Pollie Award winner, given by the American Association of Political Consultants for Political TV Commercials.

      Joe has served as theatrical Music Director and or Conductor for Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Clear Lake: The Rock and Roll Reunion, Rock And Roll Heaven, Rock and Roll Forever, Beehive ,The Rocky Horror Show, The Christmas That Almost Wasn't, Grease, Country Queens, Honky Tonk Angels, Shout! the Mod Musical and Cabaret.  
     Joe currently is a Assistant Professor of Music at Anderson University, Music Director at Brookwood Church, and Member of the dance band,  Hitmob. A highlight in Joe's career was being awarded the job of composing the Carolina Panthers Theme Music Package.
